Deleting your account

You can delete your Ihsaanly account yourself, at any time, from inside the app.

If you can no longer use the app, email us and we will delete it for you.

If you never signed in, there is no account to delete: everything is on your device, and More → Your data → Delete my data removes it.

In the app

The steps are the same in the iOS and Android app, the web app at companion.ihsaanly.app and the Chrome extension:

Sign in with the account you want to delete, if you are not signed in already.
Open More → Account.
Tap Delete account and confirm.
Choose whether to keep the data on that device, to go on using the app without an account, or to remove it.

Your cloud copy is erased immediately, and then the account itself.

By email

Email support@ihsaanly.app from the email address of your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We verify that the request comes from the account’s owner, delete the account within 30 days, and confirm by email when it is done.

What is deleted

Your practice record and progress stored in the cloud
Your settings stored in the cloud, including your approximate location
Your account itself: your email address, name and account identifier

Any remaining copies in Google’s systems are removed on Google’s standard deletion schedule.

What is not deleted

Data on devices you keep. Remove it from each one with More → Your data → Delete my data, or by choosing to remove it when you delete the account or sign out.
Records of any donation, which are held by the donation processor at donate.ihsaanly.app, not by the app.
